OMG you wouldn't believe how well my skin is doing with the new wax. I love it!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that Liz has a new green wax from Australia that is absolutely amazing. I started going to Liz almost a year ago and at first I was pretty nervous. You never know what you are going to get these days when you ask for a Brazilian wax. Well, Liz was making sure I was comfortable the whole time. She was so precise and confident. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to get a waxing service. I have been visiting Liz for acne facials for several months. Acne has been a problem for me for over 10 years. Liz’s series of acne facials are able to put the problem under control. It is joyful to visit Liz every time. She clearly loves her work, and is dedicated to her clients. Her holistic approach of treating acne combined with her care for clients is something I didn’t find in the treatments that I experienced before. Through the facial series, we can experiment with various ways/products that would work best for me. I’m looking forward to continuing to improve my acne.

After knowing Liz over 10 years, from the perspective of an employee to now a client, I would say that I know a great deal about the Skin Deep business practices. As my manager, Liz was the most memorable supervisor I have ever had. The standards that Skin Deep holds are of the top level in the industry. I met Liz over 14 years ago in St. Louis. I had gone to (don't remember person/location) for a facial and as I was checking out, I was introduced to Liz because I was moving to the San Francisco Bay Area and looking for a job. Liz used some of the same skin care products I used and I knew that my skin would be in great hands. I moved to the North Bay and called Liz for an appointment. I make my appointments 1 year in advance (every January) and drive 1-1/2 hours (each way) to see Liz. My skin is in great shape, I've been introduced to new products, and still keep a simple/daily skincare routine for my busy schedule. Walking into her salon is immediately soothing and balances my energy.

I use a "custom-blended" products specifically for my skin: Pumice Cleansing Scrub (for acne care), Rehydrante Toner/ExfoGel, Custom Blended cleanser and really enjoy the Multi Vitamin Oxidant Serum during the winter months. I use this around my ears and throat daily under my moisterizer. I've also tried some of the bath products and aromotheraphy. I get compliments on my skin and highly recommend the professionalism and holistic expertise of Liz.

" I have traveled from Santa Cruz to San Jose to see Liz for eyebrow design and maintenance for over three years now. I make the trip every THREE weeks! I had the worst eyebrows. They were over -plucked, tweezed, crooked, too short, too thin . . . need I say more? I couldn't believe what happened when I started to see Liz. I am literally a new person. I had never realized what a huge difference the way your eyebrows were shaped, colored, etc. could make in the way you look, and feel about yourself!

I was instructed to leave my brows alone, and let her do the work. It was really hard to stop my daily habit of overtweezing my eyebrows. I was obsessed! But through her careful guidance, I broke the habit, and they started to grow. Hair by hair they slowly came back in. Liz waxed, tweezed, trimmed, and colored them in order to give them a new life.

I am truly a different person because of the experience! I've changed my hair, lost weight, and started to take a closer look at the condition of my skin. I get compliments on a regular basis on my face. People say "you look great!' What are you doing?" Little do they know, it all started with an eyebrow appointment 3 years ago that changed my life!

For 15 years I have had a skin condition where I have scaly, bumpy protrusions on my face that last from 3 to 15 years each and look like I have leprosy. I began using Azulen Paste, manufactured by Dr. R.A. Eckstein, that is only sold in the U.S. by Liz (I was chasing around Europe trying to find it as I knew it was made in Germany, when I found that she had it right here in California). Using the cream has been an absolute miracle for me as I had tried dozens of things without success and the medical doctors had no help other than cortisone. The clearing works slowly and steadily and the spots dry up. Wonderful!

My roommate has been going to Liz for years and I always complimented her on how good her skin looks. She referred me to Liz about 6 months ago and I haven't turned back. My skin has improved dramatically and every time I go to see her it only gets better. My mother is so amazed by what Liz has done with my skin that she now wants to go and see Liz too. Not only have my pores already become visibly smaller, but the redness is decreasing as well. Liz has put me on a skin regimen that is very easy to follow and has been wonderful! I also go to Liz for my waxing needs as well. What I love most about the waxing is that she makes my eyebrows look so natural. I get compliments from so many people that my eyebrows look great! I found Liz through the Yellow Pages by chance 2 years ago after watching a spot on The View about professional eyebrow shaping. I loved my new eye brows after having bushy, shapeless brows for 30 years! I've since brought my teenage son in for his brows and acne skin care treatments and products. I began seeing Elizabeth Wist in 1991 for facials. In 1994 I was transferred to a new division my company started in Cupertino. I decided since Campbell was a little awkward to get to from Cupertino, I'd drive right down the road to a well-known established day spa in Saratoga for my facials. After spending over $2000, I realized I had made a huge mistake. The aestheticians I saw were not interested in helping me establish a skin care program. I soon returned to Elizabeth Wist.

Liz has taken an active role in the progress of my skin. I see her once or twice a month for facials and follow a regime she has put together for me. When I first returned to her, my skin was a mess and she actually recommended I see an acupuncturist in conjunction with her facials. She put my need before her profit and wanted to see my skin healed. I saw the results rather quickly by seeing the acupuncturist three times a week and Liz twice a month. With all her experience, training, and traveling the world in her constant search for new and better products, Liz is solely responsible for the great skin I have today. I have gone on holiday to many spas around the world and Liz is a premier aesthetician.

I also use Liz for my leg waxing needs. The wax she imports is incredible and I wouldn't have anyone else perform this service. She is the most knowledgeable person I have ever known in the area of skin care. One thing always comes to mind when thinking of Elizabeth Wist; I know I am in the hands of an expert when I'm under her care.

I have experienced acne since I was eleven years old. At the age of 25 it progressed into full-blown cystic acne. I suffered through my twenties and into my mid-thirties with the problem. I tried over-the-counter preparations and professional services and products, antibiotics and other medications from the dermatologist and facials and skin care from estheticians. Nothing seemed to help. This year my skin was so bad I was in constant pain. My nail lady referred me to Liz Wist at Skin Deep. Dear Liz,

I just wanted to thank you again and put in writing what I expressed to you during my last visit.

Being a male, it is difficult for us to openly research and discuss skin care products. This is an area that most of us don't have much interest or expertise. As we grow older, proper skin care becomes important to maintaining our appearance and our health. Given that I grew up with acne I had some experience and education about skin care and skin care products. Over the past 15 ears I have tried a number of different manufacture's products that ranged from exclusive high end brand names to those that are sold through independent sales consultants. After years of trials, nothing seemed to work.

I decided to seek professional assistance through licensed esthetician. I think it is important to note that my skin is not bad, in fact it is much better than most, I just wanted to rid myself of some minor imperfections caused from my acne years and to develop a skin care routine that is simple and effective. I experimented with weeks of Glycolic Acid Peels and a year of schedules visits that resulted in very little improvement. After this, I could not relate to why women thought that facials were so critical to maintaining a good complexion or such a relaxing and satisfying experience. It appeared to me as a waste of money.

Everything changed after meeting you. After experiencing one of your facials I was a changed man. In a single visit you corrected the blemishes that I had so desperately tried to remove for the past years. You introduced me to products that I could instantly tell complimented the chemistry of my skin and were easy-to-use. More importantly I finally experienced the "event" that women so fondly speak of. It's difficult to point to the highlight of your facial, was it the facial or the upper body massage or the final result. I have concluded that it's the total package that makes your experience so satisfying. The amazing thing is I came in expecting a standard facial.

Liz, your knowledge of skin care and your choice of products are far superior to all others. Your attention to details and the overall experience that you provide is something I would highly recommend to anyone that was interested in a healthier complexion or those that just want to spend an hour relaxing.

Writing a testimonial for Liz's work is not easy because I have so many good things to say about her and her work that I don't know where to begin. I met Liz last December when I was looking for a place to get facials to prep my skin for my upcoming wedding in October. I looked around on the web, and saw Liz's name, because it was close to where I worked, I picked up the phone and called her. She was very nice over the phone and knowing that she's in charge and will be doing the facial herself, I gave it a try. My first visit, Liz did a skin analysis for me and recommended some at home products to use along with the in-between facial visits. Now you would think the at home products will be very tedious, but Liz and I were able to get a 3-step routine (less than 3 minutes) that was suitable for me. For the next 3 months, with the combination of home products and monthly facial visits, my acne and blemishes clear up drastically.

Now, this is where Liz is good at, she first recommended products that worked with the blemish problem then she gradually helped me switch to products that will nourish my skin. Yet, I was able to continue using the old products, which is important to me because the product's shelf life is longer. During each facial visit, she would first evaluate my skin and then preps the masks and her routine according to my current skin condition. This is because of Liz's years of experience, each client is different and the client's facial visit is different each time. By purchasing a series of 8 facials, I was able to experience the difference that Liz made for my skin. It's been about 6 months of home routines and 7 facials, needless to say, my skin looks very healthy and I am very happy with the progress. It's so easy to wear makeup now, I just need a little bit of foundation to even out the skin tone, and some lipstick, and I am ready to go out. Of course, with nice healthy glowing skin, I have the freedom to try different makeup style. Having good skin is not a mystery; you just need a good coach to help you get there.
